Department Manager – Containers (China)

As we continue our international expansion, we are seeking a Department Manager – Containers to join our team in China. This is a sales-driven role, where you’ll have at hands a fleet of 5,000 owned containers and monitor the movement of 10,000 containers worldwide. Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the acquisition of new customers while nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships in China.
  • Oversee the operations of our extensive container fleet, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
  • Take charge of the entire customer journey—from acquisition and service delivery to after-sales care—ensuring exceptional client satisfaction at every stage.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop actionable strategies that keep us ahead in the industry.
  • Collaborate on the design and execution of sales strategies that align with company goals, driving growth and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and train junior sales managers, fostering a high-performing sales team that delivers results.

What We Expect from You

  • At least 3 years of experience in sales within the container industry.
  • A robust professional network within the container and logistics sector, with the ability to leverage connections to drive business growth.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, and foster collaboration across departments and regions.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, international environment with a willingness to travel as needed.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written); additional language skills are a plus.
  • Experienced in using MS Office applications and IT-based sales or fleet management tools to optimize operations.
